Responsibilities
Administer chemotherapy and other oncology treatments to patients.
Monitor patient progress and report any changes in condition.
Educate patients and families about treatment plans and side effects.
Participate in ongoing professional development and training.
Collaborate with healthcare teams to optimize patient care.
Adhere to safety protocols and infection control measures.
Engage in performance reviews and set personal development goals.
Maintain accurate and up-to-date patient records and documentation.
Evaluate and implement best practices in oncology nursing.
Support patients emotionally throughout their treatment journey.
Utilize data to assess treatment effectiveness and patient outcomes.
Participate in team meetings to discuss patient care strategies.
Experience/Qualifications
Current RN license in California with oncology nursing certification.
Experience administering chemotherapy and managing oncology patients.
Strong communication skills for educating patients and families.
Ability to collaborate effectively within a multidisciplinary healthcare team.
Commitment to ongoing professional development and training.
Proficient in maintaining accurate patient records and documentation.
Experience in evaluating treatment effectiveness and patient outcomes.
Knowledge of safety protocols and infection control measures in healthcare.
Ability to set personal development goals and engage in performance reviews.
Strong emotional support skills to assist patients throughout treatment.
