Responsibilities
Provide high-quality nursing care to mothers and newborns in a hospital setting.
Monitor and assess patients' health status and report changes promptly.
Educate new parents on infant care and breastfeeding techniques.
Participate in ongoing professional development and training opportunities.
Foster a supportive and compassionate environment for patients and families.
Collaborate with healthcare team to develop and implement care plans.
Maintain accurate and timely documentation of patient care activities.
Utilize data and metrics to assess patient outcomes and improve care.
Ensure compliance with hospital policies and procedures at all times.
Engage in performance evaluations and feedback sessions to improve skills.
Participate in quality improvement initiatives to enhance patient care.
Assist in the orientation and training of new nursing staff.
Experience/Qualifications
Current Registered Nurse (RN) license in Oklahoma or compact state.
Experience in maternal and newborn nursing care in a hospital setting.
Eagerness to engage in performance evaluations for skill enhancement.
Strong communication skills to educate and support new parents effectively.
Ability to collaborate with a multidisciplinary healthcare team.
Compassionate approach to foster a supportive environment for families.
Commitment to ongoing professional development and training.
Proficiency in patient documentation and adherence to hospital policies.
Experience in quality improvement initiatives in a healthcare setting.
