About the Opportunity

NuWest is seeking an experienced

ER Registered Nurse

for a

travel assignment

in Richmond, VA. This fast-paced emergency department sees a variety of adult patients and provides an exciting opportunity for critical care nurses looking to expand their travel experience.

Important:

This assignment is for travel candidates living more than 50 miles from Richmond, VA. Local candidates within 50 miles will not be considered.

Assignment Details

Shift:

3x12 Mid Shift (3:30 PM - 4:00 AM)

Weekly Hours:

36 hours

Patient Population:

Adults, all medical complaints; non-trauma unit

Responsibilities

Provide nursing care for all adult patients in the emergency department Administer conscious sedation as required Assess, monitor, and document patient condition Collaborate with interdisciplinary staff and physicians Participate in patient/family education and discharge planning

Requirements

Active RN license

in VA or compact state

Minimum 1 year adult ED experience

Experience with

conscious sedation

required Certifications: BLS, ACLS, NIHSS, CPI/De-escalation (can obtain during Onboarding) Must be able to pass

EKG exam at orientation

No travel pairs/teams; solo candidates only Must be

over 50 miles from Richmond, VA
