Job Description



Duties

  • Assists patrons by providing information concerning available leisure activities, selling tickets, making reservations and arranging for special accommodations required for tours, sporting events, theaters and special events.
  • Provides full assistance to individuals planning travel itineraries not requiring commercial transportation, including hotel reservations and other local service or information.
  • Maintains brochures, price listings and related information for customer use.
  • Performs related administrative support duties.
  • Receives payment, issues receipts and documents business transactions.

  • Direct Deposit and Social Security Card is required.
  • Meet qualification/eligibility/background requirements for this position.
  • A one year probationary period may be required.
  • Satisfactorily complete an employment verification (E-Verify) check.
  • Completed and signed DA Form 3433 is required prior to entrance on duty.
  • Subject to satisfactory completion of all pre-employment checks in accordance with AR 215-3, para.2.
  • Incumbent may also required to complete a Tier 1 background investigation for a Common Access Card for physical access to federally-controlled facilities.

Qualifications


MINIMUM REQUIREMENT:
1. Experience which involved dealing with the general public and performing financial transactions.

HIGHLY QUALIFIED CRITERIA:
1. Proven work experience and knowledge of all Hawaiian Islands to include the ability to advise customers on where to stay, what to see, and what to do on the islands.
2. Possess knowledge and experience in booking travel arrangements with airlines, hotels, car rentals, and cruise lines by way of telephone and online booking accommodations.
3. Possess work experience in booking local attractions in Hawaii.
4. Must possess effective communication skills with customers and reservations telephone line. Experience advising guidelines and requirements.
5. Experience in providing outstanding customer service.
6. Must possess one (1) year of work experience with computer programs, point of sale systems (POS), or reservation systems.
7. Must be able to type 40 words per minute on a computer.
