Job Summary


We are seeking a skilled and dedicated Sonographer to join our medical imaging team. The successful candidate will be responsible for performing diagnostic ultrasound examinations to assist in patient diagnosis and treatment. This role requires a strong understanding of anatomy, physiology, and medical terminology, with specialised skills in areas such as mammography and CT imaging. The Sonographer will work closely with healthcare professionals to deliver high-quality imaging services in a professional and compassionate manner.

Responsibilities



Conduct diagnostic ultrasound procedures across various modalities, including general, vascular, and specialised imaging such as mammography and CT scans. Prepare patients for examinations by explaining procedures, ensuring their comfort, and positioning them appropriately. Operate ultrasound equipment efficiently, ensuring optimal image quality for accurate diagnosis. Maintain detailed and accurate patient records, including technical notes and images captured during procedures. Adhere to all safety protocols and infection control standards to protect patients and staff. Collaborate with radiologists and other healthcare professionals to interpret findings and provide comprehensive reports. Keep equipment clean, calibrated, and maintained according to manufacturer guidelines. Stay updated on advancements in sonography techniques and technology through ongoing professional development.

Skills



Proficiency in general sonography techniques with experience in specialised areas such as mammography and CT imaging. Strong knowledge of human anatomy and physiology to accurately identify structures during scans. Excellent understanding of medical terminology relevant to diagnostic imaging. Ability to operate advanced ultrasound equipment confidently and troubleshoot technical issues effectively. Compassionate communication skills to reassure patients throughout procedures. Organised with attention to detail for accurate documentation and image management. Commitment to maintaining high standards of safety, hygiene, and patient care through adherence to clinical protocols. Pay: $2,531.28 - $3,000.54 per week
