Responsibilities
Administer respiratory therapy treatments and evaluate patient responses.
Participate in ongoing professional development and training programs.
Achieve performance targets and contribute to team success.
Collaborate with healthcare teams to develop patient care plans.
Educate patients and families on respiratory health and therapy techniques.
Monitor and document patient progress and treatment outcomes.
Conduct assessments to determine patient needs and treatment effectiveness.
Maintain and troubleshoot respiratory equipment to ensure functionality.
Document all patient interactions and treatment plans accurately.
Engage in quality improvement initiatives to enhance service delivery.
Stay updated on industry trends and advancements in respiratory therapy.
Provide support and mentorship to junior staff and interns.
Experience/Qualifications
Current state licensure as a Respiratory Therapist in Iowa.
Commitment to ongoing professional development and training.
Experience in administering respiratory therapy treatments in a clinical setting.
Strong communication skills for educating patients and families.
Strong knowledge of respiratory health and therapy techniques.
Proficient in monitoring and documenting patient treatment outcomes.
Ability to collaborate effectively with healthcare teams.
Experience in conducting patient assessments for therapy effectiveness.
Ability to troubleshoot and maintain respiratory therapy equipment.
Willingness to participate in quality improvement initiatives.
