Responsibilities
Administer respiratory therapy treatments to patients as prescribed by physicians.
Monitor patient responses and adjust treatments as necessary for optimal outcomes.
Contribute to achieving departmental targets and performance metrics.
Provide emergency respiratory care as needed in critical situations.
Maintain accurate and detailed patient records for all treatments and progress.
Collaborate with healthcare team to develop and implement patient care plans.
Ensure compliance with healthcare regulations and safety standards.
Educate patients and families on respiratory therapy procedures and equipment use.
Ensure all respiratory therapy equipment is properly maintained and functioning.
Engage in self-assessment and seek feedback to improve performance.
Participate in continuous professional development and training opportunities.
Adapt to new technologies and methodologies in respiratory therapy.
Experience/Qualifications
Valid Respiratory Therapist license in South Carolina.
Bachelor's degree in Respiratory Therapy or related field.
Commitment to continuous learning and professional development.
Minimum 2 years of experience in a clinical respiratory care setting.
Strong communication skills for patient and family education.
Strong analytical skills for monitoring patient responses.
Experience in emergency respiratory care is highly desirable.
Proficient in using respiratory therapy equipment and technology.
Ability to work effectively in a team-oriented environment.
Familiarity with healthcare regulations and safety standards.
