Responsibilities
Administer radiation therapy treatments to patients as prescribed by physicians.
Ensure compliance with safety protocols and radiation regulations.
Participate in ongoing professional development and training programs.
Engage in continuous learning to stay updated on industry advancements.
Maintain accurate patient records and treatment documentation.
Monitor patient responses to therapy and report any changes.
Collaborate with healthcare team to optimize patient treatment plans.
Utilize performance metrics to assess and improve treatment effectiveness.
Provide education and support to patients and their families.
Assist in the development of departmental policies and procedures.
Participate in team meetings to discuss patient care strategies.
Evaluate and recommend improvements to radiation therapy techniques.
Experience/Qualifications
Valid radiation therapy certification and state licensure required.
Strong understanding of radiation safety protocols and regulations.
Willingness to engage in continuous learning and adapt to new techniques.
Experience in administering radiation therapy in a clinical setting preferred.
Commitment to ongoing professional development and training.
Ability to work independently while contributing to team goals.
Ability to monitor and assess patient responses effectively.
Excellent communication skills for patient education and team collaboration.
Proficient in maintaining accurate patient records and documentation.
Experience with performance metrics and quality improvement initiatives.
