Job Description


The Trauma Program Manager (TPM) is responsible for developing, implementing and maintaining a cost-effective system of care for trauma patients and their families throughout the continuum of care. The TPM works both independently and in collaboration with the trauma program medical director and other members of the health care team and the management staff. The TPM is self-directed and self-motivated, plans and conducts work with minimal direction, and reports the progress of work to the Administrative Director of Emergency Services.

KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS & ABILITIES

  • Current RN license in the State of Georgia.
  • Bachelor\xe2\x80\x99s degree in Nursing required.
  • Current CPR (C) certification.ACLS, PALS, TNCC, and ENPC required.CEN preferred
  • Three (3) years experience in care of critical trauma patients, including: \xe2\x9a\xac Relevant clinical experience required \xe2\x9a\xac Leadership, supervision, and/pr management experience
  • Strong clinical skills in assessment, planning, intervention, and evaluation of patient care.
  • Ability to lead and develop others individually and as a team, and to be an effective team member.
  • Demonstrated ability to assess and adapt to new situations, critically think and analyze, utilize problem solving techniques, and set priorities.
  • Demonstrated skill in verbal, non-verbal and behavioral communication.
  • Demonstrated current knowledge of patient care, leadership, and emergency trauma principles.
  • Ability to operate clinical equipment, and office equipment such as computers, telecommunications devices, etc.
  • Ability to develop and follow through with new workflow processes and trauma program goals.
WORKING CONDITIONS - ADA INFORMATION

Works in acute care hospital, predominately daytime, weekday, with flexibility to work all three shifts as needed for patient rounds, staff rounds, and support of unit(s). Considerable sitting, standing, stooping, bending, lifting (in excess of fifty (50) lbs.), pushing objects (e.g., carts, beds). May occasionally require long, irregular or flexible work hours. Likely to be exposed blood and body fluids, including infectious diseases. Mental effort to assess, plan, and make or recommend decisions in complex environment.
