Job Overview
We are seeking a skilled and detail-oriented Traub Machine Operator to join our state-of-the-art manufacturing facility. The ideal candidate will be responsible for setting up, operating, and inspecting Traub CNC machines to produce complex aerospace components with exceptional precision and quality.
Key Responsibilities

  • Machine Setup:
  • Interpret engineering drawings, blueprints, and work orders to determine machine setup requirements
  • Configure Traub CNC machines according to specifications, including tool selection, workpiece positioning, and program loading
  • Perform necessary adjustments and calibrations to ensure optimal machine performance
  • Verify machine settings and conduct test runs to confirm accuracy before beginning production
  • Machine Operation:
  • Operate Traub CNC machines to manufacture aerospace components according to specifications
  • Monitor machine performance and make real-time adjustments as needed to maintain quality and efficiency
  • Perform routine maintenance tasks, such as lubricating moving parts and replacing worn tools
  • Troubleshoot and resolve minor machine issues to minimize downtime
  • Maintain a clean and organized work area to ensure safety and efficiency
  • Quality Inspection:
  • Conduct in-process and final inspections of manufactured components using precision measuring instruments
  • Verify dimensional accuracy, surface finish, and overall quality of produced parts
  • Document inspection results and maintain detailed records of quality control activities
  • Identify and report any deviations from specifications or quality standards
  • Collaborate with quality assurance personnel to address and resolve quality issues
  • Continuous Improvement:
  • Participate in process improvement initiatives to enhance efficiency and product quality
  • Suggest and implement improvements to machine setup, operation, and inspection procedures
  • Stay updated on industry best practices and emerging technologies in CNC machining
  • Attend training sessions and workshops to enhance skills and knowledge
  • Safety and Compliance:
  • Adhere to all company safety policies and procedures
  • Properly use personal protective equipment (PPE) as required
  • Report any safety hazards or concerns to supervisors promptly
  • Comply with aerospace industry standards and regulations
