Job Description
Lunalilo Home and Adult Day Care offers diverse opportunities for those interested in using their skills and experience to serve kupuna (elders) and to make a difference in the lives of others by providing compassionate, quality care.
We seek a Transporter for a part-time schedule to assist in the transporting of kupuna to their appointments. The transporter will also assist in pick-ups and drop-offs of ADC kupuna to/from their home.
Essential Functions
Pick up and drop off Adult Day Care kupuna from their home to our facility Transports kupuna as directed by nursing staff to and from medical and other appointments. Assists nursing staff with ambulating, moving, turning, positioning, and assisting in and out of chair/bed. Assures confidentiality of all kupuna work related information. Performs various cleaning functions as specified by supervisor, including to, but not limited to sanitizing and maintaining wheelchairs and other transport equipment). Assists with monthly kupuna holo holo days. Carry out meal deliveries.
Requirements:
High School Graduate or GED Current and valid Driver's License and clean driving record Three months related experience or training in related field. Able to frequently lift up to 50 lbs. Certification in BLS and First Aid required upon hire
