Summary:
The Transportation Supervisor at Pacific Seafood is a key role on our Transportation team supporting efforts to maintain efficient operation of the distribution facility's transportation activities. This position involves managing transportation assets effectively and driving continuous improvement through collaboration and teamwork across the supply chain and is ideal for someone who is organized, analytical, and has a commitment to continuous improvement. Key Responsibilities:
1. Coordination and Management:

  • Supervise and coordinate with contracted trucking dispatchers and drivers.
  • Schedule daily routes, ensuring efficiency and adherence to time requirements.
  • Oversee scheduling of driver routes, vacation coverage, and truck maintenance.
  • Supervise the loading of products onto trailers or trucks.
  • Manage the preparation of delivery documents.
  • Coordinate pick-ups with purchasing department.
  • Develop and manage budgets for transportation department.
  • Address transportation-related inquiries and resolve complaints.
2. Optimization and Improvement:
  • Assist in daily route sequencing for optimal delivery efficiency.
  • Support the development of incentive and safe driving programs for drivers.
  • Recommend route changes to enhance profitability.
  • Assist in implementing cross-training programs for drivers.
Additional responsibilities may be assigned as deemed necessary to support the overall goals and objectives of the position
What You Bring to Pacific Seafood:
Required:
  • High school diploma or GED.
  • Minimum two years of supervisory experience in transportation.
  • Minimum two years of experience in fleet management, routing, and safety compliance.
  • Valid driver's license.
  • Knowledge of DOT compliance and audit procedures.
Preferred:
  • Associate degree in a related field.
  • Valid commercial driver's license (CDL).
  • Forklift certification.
Salary Range: $73,000 annually
