Position Overview:

We are seeking a motivated and results-driven individual to join our team as a Truck Broker specializing in inside sales. As a key member of our transportation and logistics team, you will play a vital role in connecting shippers with carriers, optimizing freight movements, and ensuring efficient transportation solutions. Your strong sales acumen and industry knowledge will be essential in driving revenue growth and maintaining strong client relationships.

Responsibilities: * Business Development: Proactively identify and target potential clients in need of trucking and transportation services.

  • Client Engagement: Build and nurture relationships with existing clients to understand their needs and provide tailored transportation solutions.
  • Carrier Network: Source, negotiate with, and maintain relationships with a network of carriers to ensure timely and cost-effective freight movement.
  • Freight Matching: Analyze available carriers and match them with suitable freight opportunities to maximize efficiency and profitability.
  • Rate Negotiation: Negotiate competitive rates with carriers while maintaining profitability for the company.
  • Sales Strategies: Develop and execute effective sales strategies to meet and exceed revenue targets.
  • Market Trends: Stay informed about industry trends, market rates, and transportation regulations to make informed business decisions.
  • Documentation: Accurately document and maintain records of sales activities, transactions, and customer interactions.
  • Problem Solving: Address and resolve any operational issues that may arise during freight movement, ensuring minimal disruptions.
  • Communication: Communicate closely with shippers, carriers, and internal teams to coordinate shipments and provide exceptional customer service.
  • Reporting: Generate regular sales reports, performance metrics, and forecasts to track progress and make data-driven decisions.
Qualifications: * High school diploma required, bachelors degree in business or related field preferred.
  • Minimum of 2-3 years of experience in transportation brokerage or freight sales.
  • Proven track record in sales, with a focus on inside sales and relationship management.
  • Strong understanding of transportation industry dynamics, regulations, and market trends.
  • Excellent negotiation and communication skills, both verbal and written.
  • Proficient in using sales software, customer relationship management (CRM) tools, and Microsoft Office suite.
  • Ability to multitask, prioritize workload, and manage time effectively.
  • Strong problem-solving skills and ability to thrive in a fast-paced, dynamic environment.
