The Transportation Drivers at To The Rescue provide care and transportation to clients of To The Rescue.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities
Transports clients
Assists clients with walkers, wheelchairs, backpacks, lunches, and other items that need safeguarding while traveling
Ensures clients' safety and wellbeing
Ensure the safe loading and unloading of all consumers entrusted to your care
Ensure health, safety and supervision needs are observed
Maintains records and prepares reports on services provided
Provides back-up in other areas as needed
Always exhibit appropriate role modeling through language, dress and hygiene
Conversations should be appropriate for a business environment
Communicate with appropriate managers on incidents requiring further attention & follow up; for example, an incident requiring documentation and communication to a parent, guardian, Host Home Provider or case manager
Comply with proper safety policies and procedures (including all state laws)
Provide exceptional level of customer service to both internal and external consumers
Follow all To The Rescue policies and procedures
Competencies/Qualifications/Education
Teamwork orientation
Ability to apply principles of logical or scientific thinking to a wide range of intellectual and practical problems
Have knowledge of auditing and monitoring procedures
Have working knowledge of applicable laws and regulations
Have working knowledge of privacy laws and regulations
Must have excellent communication skills and the ability to communicate effectively
Proficient with Microsoft Office that includes Word, Excel, Outlook and the ability to learn computer programs for scheduling and timekeeping
Ability to respond well under pressure
High School Diploma or equivalent
Certificates/Licenses/Registration
The employee must provide and maintain a valid driver's license the entire duration of their employment, and must be eligible for the agency's vehicle insurance.
The employee must be 25 years old to drive DOT routes that utilize buses.
Supervisory Responsibility
This role will not directly supervise employees.
Work Hours
Hours are varied depending on the needs of the organization, typically Monday through Friday.
Work Environment
The work environment is consistent with similar office environment settings.
