Position Summary
The Dispatcher will plan, develop, and implement the direct distribution of Northgate Markets Grocery, Meat, Deli, Produce, Frozen and other various products in the absence of the Transportation Management. This position oversees all driver dispatch and work scheduling. The lead dispatcher's responsibilities also include (but not limited to) routing store deliveries, tracking delivery arrival times, and ensuring deliveries are made when the store expects them to be made. The dispatch lead oversees and assists driver's pre & post trip inspections of equipment and ensures all DOT documentation is properly maintained and turned in by the drivers.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
The essential duties and responsibilities of this position include, but are not limited to, the following:

Performs other related duties as assigned
Education/Experience:
Valid Class 'C' License with driver qualification file.
Basic PC skills.
Experience/Knowledge in warehouse operations and delivery operations.
Excellent interpersonal skills.
Required Qualifications:
Supervisory skills: Ability to effectively supervise and manage delivery drivers and yard hostlers.
Communication skills: Capable of maintaining effective communication with transportation management and the director of distribution. * Capable of working in a multi-temperature environment
Ability to walk and stand for multiple hours.
Regular interaction with transportation management and the director of distribution for coordination and communication purposes detail oriented.
Work Environment:
Work is performed in both an office environment and the distribution area.
Office work may require the ability to sit for prolonged periods of time and work independently.

Physical Job Demands:
Capable of safely lifting varying weights of up to 40 pounds from the floor to chest level.

Pay Range: $24.25 USD to $31.88 USD
