Job Duties:
This position is assigned to Facility Operations section at Juvenile Justice Central Office in Raleigh, NC.
The primary purpose of this position is to arrange and schedule juvenile transportation needs in assigned areas within the state. This includes secure transportation of juveniles to District/Superior court, detention centers and other secure transport locations. This may also include transportation of juveniles to court, detention centers, youth development centers, pick-up from law enforcement custody and other appointments. A high level of security and safety is the priority of each trip. Transportation drivers will transport juveniles who are in secure custody, therefore, knowledge of legal documents needed for each type of transport is necessary. Transports are prioritized by trips to and from juvenile court hearings, emergency/unplanned detention admissions or other assignments. Other duties for this position are:
-Coordinate daily work schedule of transportation drivers in close proximity of a driver's location to reduced cost of transports; assist in monitoring hours and cost of vehicle usage.
-Ensuring maintenance and cleaning of all transport vehicles are completed as required.
-Compiling weekly/monthly transportation logs, transportation mileage reports, and other reports as requested.
-Running annual transportation reports.
-Must become familiar with NCJoin and TROI database systems.
-Entering data/information in NC-Join as required and enter case notes in NC--Join regarding transportation trips, if needed.
-Reporting and tracking transportation incidents.
-Communication with Facility Operations and other Juvenile Justice Staff is essential

Salary Range: $37,782-$66,120

Experience with entering scheduling related data into a database, calendar, and/or other scheduling platforms.
Demonstrated experience communicating with staff at all levels to provide expectations that align with agency core values.
Experience with scheduling and managing appointments for multiple people on a daily basis, including being able to make last-minute adjustments when needed.
Experience with reading State of NC statues, guidelines and/or court orders.
Work Schedule:
Monday-Friday 8am-5pm and candidates must be able to work on-call hours, weekends and holidays on a rotating basis
