Our Lamar office in Houston, Texas, is now hiring a new Transit Business Development Administrator to help us bring innovative outdoor advertising campaigns to life for brands in Houston, TX, and the surrounding areas.
The Transit Business Development Administrator supports Lamar's Transit Division through the coordination of administrative, project, and event-related activities. This role requires a reliable, detail-oriented professional with strong communication skills, sound judgment, and the ability to manage multiple priorities in a dynamic, fast-paced environment.

What we're looking for in YOU:
  • Experience in administrative coordination or project management; advertising experience a plus.
  • Proficient in Google Workspace, Adobe Acrobat Pro, and Monday.com.
  • Strong organizational, multitasking, and communication skills.
  • Exceptional attention to detail and commitment to confidentiality.
  • Proven ability to work independently and professionally in a fast-paced environment.
Education and experience:
  • Required:
  • High school diploma.
  • 3 years of experience in an office setting.
  • Preferred:
  • College degree in business, marketing, or related field
  • Above experience in administration or project management

A Day in the Life:
  • Administrative Support
  • Assist with event planning, including coordinating venues, guests, and logistics.
  • Prepare and reconcile expense reports and assist with travel confirmations.
  • Perform data entry, complete forms, and manage digital files.
  • Submit and track public records (FOIA) requests and maintain organized archives.
  • Process invoices and collaborate with internal teams across different time zones.
  • Handle confidential and sensitive information responsibly, in accordance with company policies.
  • Maintain professional communication and presentation standards in all virtual interactions.
  • Information Management & Competitor Intelligence
  • Coordinate the collection, tracking, and analysis of competitor and market data, including submission of FOIA/public record requests.
  • Maintain an organized digital archive of past proposals, bid outcomes, and research findings.
  • Monitor industry trends and maintain an internal database of relevant intelligence.
  • Project Coordination & Team Support
  • Track project timelines, tasks, and deliverables using internal project management systems.
  • Maintain business development files, ensure document version control, and organize team contact databases.
  • Assist with scheduling meetings, taking notes, and coordinating communications related to business development activities.
  • Maintain department organization, including naming conventions, folder structures, and asset versioning.
Physical Demands and Work Environment:
  • The primary work environment for this position is in an office.
  • The physical demands for this position include seeing (with a focus on reading, acuity, and perception) and talking.
  • Nights spent away from home traveling are less than 10%
