Job Summary:
Ambassadors are the frontline representatives of 3CDC in Downtown Cincinnati and Over-the-Rhine. Ambassadors patrol assigned areas, helping to maintain a safe, welcoming, and vibrant environment for residents, workers, and visitors. Through a visible presence, customer service, and quick response to cleanliness and safety concerns, Ambassadors play a critical role in creating a positive experience for everyone who interacts with our civic spaces and business districts.
3CDC partners with Metro to provide services at Government Square, downtown's bus transit hub. The Transit Ambassador position is responsible for providing detailed cleaning services at the bus stops that comprise Government Square, along with providing transit information to riders, enforcing rules, and engaging with Metro staff, Cincinnati Police and other partners.
Key Responsibilities:
Customer Service & Engagement
Proactively greet and assist bus riders and other downtown patrons with transit information, directions, event details, and/or recommendations.
Provide a welcoming atmosphere that reflects the organization's standards of respect, efficiency, and inclusivity.
Bring positive energy to daily interactions--be the face of Government Square.
Engage respectfully with individuals whose behavior conflicts with posted rules or district regulations. Escalate to appropriate entity when needed.
Maintain a positive, solution-focused attitude in all interactions.
Cleanliness & Maintenance
Fulfill contractual obligations as assigned, including but not limited to: sweeping litter, emptying trash cans, cleaning up spills, and removing graffiti and stickers.
Monitor and report areas with frequent litter, hazardous materials (needles, excrement), or maintenance issues.
Ensure all stops are left clean, safe, and welcoming for riders.
Site Patrols
* Maintain a highly visible and approachable presence to promote safety and discourage unwanted behavior.
