Job Summary

The Mississippi Department of Human Services is seeking a highly motivated Training Specialist to design, develop, and deliver engaging learning experiences through our Learning Management System (LMS) and live training sessions. The ideal candidate will create innovation training content, coordinate in-person and virtual training programs, and ensure seamless learner experience. Experience with Adobe Learning Manager (formally Adobe Captivate Prime) is strongly preferred.

Duties

Develop and implement comprehensive training programs. Design engaging curriculum and content tailored for adult education that meets the diverse needs of employees. Facilitate training sessions, workshops, and presentations utilizing strong public speaking and communication skills. Collaborate with human resources on organization design, succession planning, and change management initiatives. Manage program design and implementation processes while ensuring alignment with organizational objectives. Mentor junior staff members in instructional design principles, program management, and effective training delivery methods. Collect data on training effectiveness through research and feedback mechanisms to continuously improve programs. Support HR sourcing, recruiting efforts, and employee relations through targeted training initiatives.

Experience

Bachelor's Degree and 4-6 years of relevant experience in training, instructional design, or learning program coordination Hands-on experience with Learning Management Systems; Adobe Learning Manager (Adobe LMS) experience preferred Strong skills in eLearning authoring tools (Articulate, Captivate, Camtasia, or similar). Excellent communication, facilitation, and organizational skills. Ability to manage multiple projects and priorities in a fast-paced environments."

Pay: $60,000.00 - $77,000.00 per year
