The Training Officer II will work under the direction of the Staff Development Manager/Academy Commander and will be responsible for all phases of curriculum design and development, to include presentations for in-service training, academies, and/or organizational development programs, including conferring with subject matter experts; reviewing, editing, developing and publishing of course material; identifying and applying appropriate instructional strategies and methodologies; maintaining and recording all training records; and providing reports.
Job Duties:
Completes instructional design and development projects to create learning and development events for employees at ADJC. Responsible for all phases of course creation from inception through evaluation. Reviews and revises curriculum as appropriate.
Assists in the preparation, review and coordination of formalized pre-service, in-service and out-service training and development for ADJC staff and interns. Facilitates/instructs courses and provides train-the-trainer knowledge transfer to ADJC employees.
Maintains all training records, data in the LMS system and provides reports as needed. Provides support for ADJC LMS users.
Provides other training and support as assigned, such as copying training materials, filing, compiling evaluation data, etc.
Creates and revises e-learning content for employees.
Other duties as assigned as related to the position (typically 5% - 10%).

Selective Preference(s):
A Bachelor's degree is preferred, but not required; training experience in a related field; work experience in corrections or other areas of Law Enforcement is desirable.

Any employee operating a motor vehicle on State business must possess and retain a current, valid class-appropriate driver's license, complete all required training, and successfully pass all necessary driver's license records checks. The license must be current, unexpired, and neither revoked or suspended. Employees who drive on state business are subject to driver's license record checks, must maintain acceptable driving records, and must complete all driver training. An employee who operates a personally owned vehicle on state business shall maintain the statutorily required liability insurance (see Arizona Administrative Code (A.A.C.) R2-10-207.010).
