What to Expect


Tesla is seeking an experienced individual to join the GFTX Manufacturing Training team as a Training Instructor. In this role, we are seeking a dynamic and data-driven Training instructor who will design, deliver and continuously improve manufacturing training programs, with a laser focus on demonstrating tangible business impact. This role goes beyond traditional training and delivery. Success is measured by your ability to move the needle on key manufacturing performance indicators through effective skill development and behavioral change on the production floor. We are looking for someone who excels in communication and facilitation in dynamic environments. Candidates should demonstrate exceptional time management and organizational skills, with a positive, motivational, and professional demeanor. A strong sense of ownership and accountability is essential. The training team has openings across all manufacturing operations within GFTX.

What You'll Do

Design and deliver engaging hands-on hybrid-based training programs for Production Associates, Technicians, Team Leads and Supervisors Deliver training courses in classroom and field settings using various presentation formats including Instructor Led, facilitative group learning, active hands-on learning, and functional assessments Partner with operations, quality, and continuous improvement teams to identify skill gaps that directly affect manufacturing KPIs Establish clear, measurable training objectives tied to specific business outcomes and track progress through pre-and post-training assessments, on-the-job observation, and time-to-competency Conduct train-the-trainer sessions to build internal capabilities and sustain improvements Support new product introductions, process changes and production schedules by developing and deploying targeted training

What You'll Bring

3 plus years of hands-on experience in a manufacturing environment 3 plus years of experience designing and delivering training in a business manufacturing setting Candidates must possess experience with Tesla internal systems such as MOS, MRB, and Quality Dashboards, as well as proven ability in root cause analysis and development of corrective and preventive countermeasures Demonstrated ability to link training initiatives to measurable improvements in safety, quality, delivery, cost metrics and building ROI models Possess excellent presentation, coaching, and facilitation skills with the ability to engage frontline employees Familiarity with PowerPoint, Excel, SharePoint, Teams, and other Microsoft Office tools, as well as Learning Management Systems Understanding of and commitment to Tesla's mission and philosophy
