TP Freight is growing our in-house maintenance team and looking for an experienced
Trailer Repair Technician
to join us. If you're skilled in maintaining and repairing CDL equipment--including tractors, trailers, and dollys--have your own tools and have experience supervising at least one employee, we want to hear from you.
What You'll Do
Inspect, diagnose, and repair dry van trailers, including:
Structural and skin panel repairs
Chassis and frame straightening or reinforcement
Floor, roof, and door repairs and replacements
Kingpin and suspension repairs
Electrical, lighting, and air brake systems maintenance
Perform welding, cutting, and fabrication as needed for repairs.
Conduct DOT inspections and ensure all equipment meets safety and compliance standards.
Maintain accurate records of work performed and parts used.
Collaborate with other maintenance personnel and operations staff to prioritize repairs and minimize downtime.
What You Bring-Requirements:
Minimum
3 years of trailer repair experience
, preferably with dry vans.
Strong understanding of trailer construction, materials, and repair methods.
Proficiency in welding, torch work, and fabrication.
Familiarity with DOT regulations and trailer inspection procedures.
Ability to work independently and manage multiple repair tasks efficiently.
Must provide own hand tools (company provides specialty tools and equipment).
Valid driver's license required; CDL preferred but not required
