District Overview Kiewit Southwest District specializes in heavy civil, transportation and water projects, we typically self-perform a large portion of the work. We do self-performance work such as mass grading, drainage, PCCP paving, utilities and more. • \xe2\x80\xaf \xe2\x80\xafProvide supervisory direction of craft workers via the general foreman and foreman, managing the performance of productivity, safety, quality and schedule adherence
• \xe2\x80\xaf \xe2\x80\xafDevelop MOT Plans
• \xe2\x80\xaf \xe2\x80\xafCoordinate and interface effectively with other superintendents and subcontractors, as well as Kiewit staff personnel and leadership to ensure smooth workflow and schedule adherence
• \xe2\x80\xaf \xe2\x80\xafResolve employee conflicts, grievances, and scheduling difficulties, informing project and corporate management as appropriate
• \xe2\x80\xaf \xe2\x80\xafAssist in schedule planning, determining craft labor levels, material quantities, and equipment requirements
• \xe2\x80\xaf \xe2\x80\xafEnsure project rules, procedures and programs are followed consistently, including those involving safety, attendance, and workplace behavior standards as reflected in Company\xe2\x80\x99s non-harassment and nondiscrimination policies

Qualifications

• \xe2\x80\xaf \xe2\x80\xafAbility to travel and relocate as needed
• \xe2\x80\xaf \xe2\x80\xaf5+ years\xe2\x80\x99 work experience in the construction industry, with at least 3+ years in a supervisory role
• \xe2\x80\xaf \xe2\x80\xafPrevious knowledge/experience in managing MOT crews & Traffic Control Supervisor (ATSSA) certification required
• \xe2\x80\xaf \xe2\x80\xafAdvanced knowledge of various construction disciplines, union agreements and jurisdictional issues, safety regulations, scheduling, cost control, engineering drawings and other documents
• \xe2\x80\xaf \xe2\x80\xafDemonstrated ability to efficiently supervise and evaluate craft performance
• \xe2\x80\xaf \xe2\x80\xafHighly motivated, with a demonstrated passion for excellence and taking initiative
• \xe2\x80\xaf \xe2\x80\xafStrong work ethic, willing to do what it takes to get the job done right the first time
