Wright Plastic Products currently has an opening for a 1st Shift Tool/Mold Repair Technician at our Sheridan, MI location
Summary of Position Responsibilities:
Constructs mold components, alter, maintain and repair molds, dies, fixtures, and tools. Maintains machinery, programming CNC and assist manufacturing maintaining mold PM as required.
Key Responsibilities:
Perform mold maintenance and repair as scheduled.
Construct mold components, dies, fixtures using mold CAD or drawings.
Maintain equipment to ensure proper operation
Program CNC
Operate mills, surface grinder, lathe and EDM
Participates in the continuous improvement process as well as the correction action process for programs having productivity and quality issues.
Creates CAD when needed for mold components.
Minimum Qualifications:
High School Diploma / GED
Mold maker certificate or 8 years' experience
Completion of mold maker journeyman program preferred
Ability to obtain a hi-lo license
Ability to supply own tools
Pay is commensurate with experience.
