Job Description

Alpha Q, Inc. is seeking a Tooling & Production Support associate to join our Aerospace Manufacturing division. This is a fulltime 1st shift position at our Colchester, CT facility.

Position Description

:

In this hybrid role, you will divide your time between the tool crib and the shipping department to support efficient production flow and organization of tooling and supplies.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities of the Tool Crib to include, but not limited to:

Visually inspect returned tools for wear or damage and route for sharpening or repair as needed Organize, label, and maintain tool crib inventory and related materials Monitor and restock items in the tool vending machine and first aid cabinets Verify incoming materials and tools, ensuring accurate counts and proper distribution to recipients Assist with tool presetting and other support tasks as training and workload allow

Essential Duties and Responsibilities of Production Support to include, but not limited to:

Move parts & materials throughout the production floor to support workflow between departments Deliver fixturing and related equipment to CNC machines as needed Maintain general organization and cleanliness in the shipping, warehouse, and production areas Assist with shipping and receiving activities as training and workflow allow, including organizing materials for outgoing shipments and other support tasks

Qualifications:

1+ year of experience in a manufacturing shop floor setting preferred Strong organizational skills and the ability to adapt to cross-training in multiple areas Reliable, punctual, and willing to work overtime as needed to meet production schedules Excellent attention to detail and ability to work independently

Education:

High school or vocational graduate (technical education or training preferred)
