Tool Room Attendant (3rd shift: 8pm - 5am)

Position Responsibilities



The incumbent is expected to perform the following functions that the company has determined are essential to this position:



. Set-up of cutting tools for the machining lines following tool setup instructions written in English.



. Using Zoller presetter equipment to measure tool offset & runout.



. Receiving / Inventory of cutting tool components.



. Recording cutting tool data from kanban to database.



. Collecting used tools from the lines for reload & returning reloaded tooling back to lineside storage cabinets.



. Packaging and shipment of used tools to be sent out for reconditioning.



. Maintaining 3-pillar and 5-S standards of tool room area and lineside storage cabinets.



Required Skills and Abilities

Essential Skills and Experience:

. Ability to read and follow written instructions in English.



. Ability to perform basic computer operations.



. Experience with Microsoft Office, primarily Excel and Microsoft Outlook.



. Ability to understand metric measuring system, down to the micron level.



Beneficial Skills and Experience



. Knowledge of Microsoft Access.



. Experience with Zoller presetting equipment.



. Ability to read and understand 2-D drawings of tool assemblies.



. Experience disassembling, inspecting and reassembling cutting tools.



Education/Training/Certifications



. High school degree required.



. Some college, or Associates degree in technical field preferred.

. Travel requirement for this position is minimal, and basically for travel to training classes for this field.
