Responsibilities
Design and implement age-appropriate activities that promote early childhood development, including social skills, motor skills, language acquisition, and emotional regulation.
Provide attentive toddler care by ensuring their safety, comfort, and well-being at all times within a nurturing classroom environment.
Manage daily routines such as diapering, feeding, nap times, and transitions with patience and professionalism.
Foster positive behavior management strategies to encourage cooperation, independence, and respectful interactions among children.
Maintain accurate records of each child's progress, health updates, and developmental milestones in compliance with licensing standards.
Collaborate with colleagues to plan curriculum activities that support individual learning styles and developmental needs.
Communicate regularly with parents or guardians about their child's progress, behaviors, and any concerns that arise.
Ensure classroom cleanliness and organization to uphold health standards and create an inviting space for children.
Implement safety protocols including first aid procedures when necessary and respond promptly to emergencies or incidents.
Participate in ongoing professional development opportunities related to early childhood education, special education strategies, or caregiving best practices.
Qualifications
Prior experience working with children in daycare settings, preschool classrooms, babysitting, nannying or similar environments is highly valued.
Knowledge of childhood development principles and best practices in early childhood education.
Certifications in first aid and CPR are required, will train.
Demonstrated ability in classroom management and behavior management techniques tailored for toddlers.
Compassionate caregiver with excellent communication skills to connect effectively with children, parents, and team members.
Ability to handle physical demands of the role including lifting infants or toddlers, standing for extended periods, and maintaining a safe environment.
Experience with infant care or toddler care routines is preferred.
Strong organizational skills for maintaining accurate records and managing daily schedules efficiently.
