Then the Toddler Teacher job is the perfect job for you!Our teacher-student ratios are 1 adult for 5 children!Teacher Nature's Lab School is a unique school! Our program is inspired by Reggio Emilia in Italy, Waldorf education, Scandinavian schools, and our own individual love for children and hands-on learning.Responsibilities include but are not limited to: Attend work reliably and consistently according to agreed-upon work hours. Develop and maintain a constructive and loving relationship with children and parents. Having a positive attitude while ensuring children are actively learning in a safe environment. Ensure the safety of the children by observing and supervising them at all times. Assist with school tasks including, but not limited to, sanitizing, cleaning, and inventory of supplies for the children. Constantly monitor and maintain the cleanliness and safety of the interior and exterior of the school, in accordance with program and Title 22 regulations. Organize and lead activities designed to promote physical, cognitive, and social development, such as games, arts and crafts, music, storytelling, and exploration of our rich outdoor and indoor environment. Adapt teaching methods and instructional materials to meet students' varying needs and interests Speak in Spanish with the children at all times (preferred). Other responsibilities as neededESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS and REQUIRED DUTIES OF ALL EMPLOYED STAFF: - Able to observe, see, hear and respond to children's needs, emergencies, and conflicts that might occur in an indoor and outdoor classroom, bathrooms, and common areas.- Able to lift 30 pounds from the floor to a waist-high table 20-25 times daily.- Able to be outdoors with the children for extended periods of time.- Able to reach a child 25-35 feet away within 30 seconds without danger to the staff person's health.- Able to kneel, squat, stretch, twist, or reach out to a child's height, maintain eye contact at the child's level, sit on the floor, and stand tall enough to reach children on the highest piece of equipment.- Able to determine cognitive, social, and physical needs of children.- Able to handle the stress, tension, and frustration that contact with many children and parents may bring at times.- Able to provide excellent customer service.- Able to communicate openly and productively with the team and families.- Able to abide by State Child Day Care Licensing requirements.Education required: Teacher must possess at least 12 units in Child Development units.Provide TB clearance, Health Screening Report, Mandated Reporter Training, and immunization for MMR, Tdap prior to 1st day with children.Hours and compensation: This position can be Part time 8 am-1:00 pmor, full-time 8 hours daily between 7:45 am and 5:15 pm depending on team needs.Compensation depending on education and experience $15.50- $18 per hour DOE.We are a Team and a Family!#NatLabStrongJob Type: Full-timePay: $15.50 - $18.00 per hourBenefits:
