Job Description

TOR Engineering is looking for an Electrical - Civil Drafter to provide CAD services to support Designers and Engineers with the development of new electrical distribution and transmission projects for utility and commercial clients. TOR Engineering is looking for someone with strong experience with AutoCAD, preferably with Civil drafting or electrical utility design application. Individual should have an eye for detail, be willing to learn, have a good work ethic and be a team player. Responsibilities Include:

• Provide CAD support to Designers and Engineers on electrical distribution projects for various utility and commercial clients
• Primary responsibility will be to provide CAD support for the design of electrical utility infrastructure including overhead transmission and distribution circuits
• CAD services may include some of the following items: base map creation, profiles for street and freeway crossings, development of primary IDs, plot plans, electrical equipment details, conduit/schematic diagrams, etc.
• Assist Engineers and Designers as needed throughout the project development and submittal process.

Basic Requirements:

• One-year of AutoCAD training or experience preferred.
• Familiarity with Right of Way, Property Easements, Underground Utilities (water, sewer, communications, gas, etc.)
• Must be detail oriented and be willing to learn. (CAD test will be performed after interview)
• Must have a good work ethic, good attendance record, good communication skills, and work well with others.
• Must have excellent organizational skills to be able to track assigned job

Preferred Qualifications:

• Experience with electrical utility design drafting or experience with Civil layout / design drafting support.
• Experience with developing section and structure details for transmission and distribution overhead lines.
• Familiarity with electrical utilities and associated standards.

Job Type: Full-time Pay: $20.00 - $28.00 per hour Benefits:
