Job Summary
We are looking for a reliable
Mill Operator
to support daily milling operations. This role involves running sawmill equipment, monitoring quality, handling materials, and maintaining a safe, efficient workflow. Pay based on experience.Responsibilities
Operate sawmill and millwork equipment Assist with log breakdown, edging, trimming, and surfacing Inspect lumber for quality and accuracy Perform basic machine maintenance and cleaning Load and unload materials (forklift or manual handling) Follow all safety procedures and PPE requirements Meet daily production goals and report issues promptly
Qualifications
Millwork, sawmill, or industrial machine experience preferred Strong mechanical aptitude and comfort with heavy equipment Ability to read measurements and understand lumber sizing Ability to lift 50+ lbs and work in varying temperatures Reliable, punctual, and safety-minded Forklift experience helpful (training available)
