Role Description

Thought Leader Liaison will be responsible for developing and maintaining relationships with current and future thought leaders as well as medical organizations in their respective region to create The awareness of LEO Pharma. This role will serve as a key point of contact for regional and national thought leaders within their specific geography. It will also provide insight and guidance on the competitive landscape to inform commercial activities and clinical development. The role will interact with members of the LEO Executive Leadership Team and other departments within the organization.

Role and responsibilities:

Identify, cultivate, and maintain professional relationships with current and future thought leaders, within Atopic Dermatitis.

Create high awareness for LEO Pharma within the dermatology community

Assist in the development of a KOL engagement plan and maintain database of thought leaders and contacts

Speaker bureau management including supporting and coaching speakers as well as assisting sales in speaker selection

Maintain awareness of internal and external sources to support high-quality scientific exchanges with thought leaders.

Attend scientific conferences to gather key information in order to provide insights and summaries to internal development teams

Serve as a key point of contact for KOLs within a specific geography for LEO Pharma and facilitate internal education and collaboration opportunities

Orchestrate meetings with LEO executives and KOLs and relevant stakeholders.

Provide insight to LEO team members for relevant congress activities including product theatres, advisory board meetings and KOL engagements.

Assist in Opinion Leader mapping exercises to identify and better understand the top national OLs in therapeutic areas of interest.

Provide advisory board and speaker bureau participants recommendations.

Significant travel is required as needed to support the role

Based in the Northeast (New York or New Jersey)

Complete all company-based and job-related training as assigned by LEO Pharma within the required timeline.

Additional duties as assigned by LEO Pharma Management

Key working relationships:
Marketing, Medical Affairs, Sales, Regulatory, Market Access

Job specific competencies:

Minimum of 6+ years prior experience, within the biotechnology/pharmaceutical industry

Bachelor\'s degree required with scientific focus preferred

Minimum of 5+ years experience in medical dermatology is required

2-3 years of Thought Leader experience

Prior experience promoting and/or marketing a Biologic in dermatology is required

Prior drug launch experience is preferred

Strong communication and leadership skills

Demonstrated ability to build rapport with external stakeholders and internal partners

5+ years previous professional experience; could include medical science liaison, medical affairs, medical marketing, clinical research, or commercial leadership

Based in the Northeast (New York or New Jersey)

Experience working cross-functionally in a matrixed environment

Demonstrated ability to work independently and meet deadlines within a fast-paced environment

Ability to manage multiple simultaneous projects under tight timelines and changing priorities

Attention to detail with strong analytical, written and communication skills

Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite, especially Excel & PowerPoint

Must be able to perform all essential functions of the position, with or without reasonable accommodation

Salary Range:

$170,000-$210,000
