Job Description

A therapist licensed in NC (plus if also SC) with child therapy experience to see 50-75% of caseload age 6-18. 3 days a week in person. Optional 2 virtual days.

About Insight Carolinas PLLC

Dr. Ashli Kurian and Dr. Kevin Kurian founded Insight Carolinas in 2022 to improve equity and accessibility of mental health care, specifically quality and timely psychological assessment across the lifespan, for individuals and families across the Carolinas. While there are needs for mental health services in general, there are particularly large service gaps for assessment services, particularly for people wishing to use their private insurance or Medicaid benefits for payment. We find it unacceptable that many in North Carolina are left waiting many months or even years for diagnoses to access much-needed treatments. Our providers have years of experience assessing a broad range of mental health concerns from developmental disorders such as autism spectrum disorder, to mood disorders (e.g. depression, anxiety, bipolar disorder), to trauma, to behavioral concerns, to executive functioning concerns such as ADHD, thought disorders (e.g. schizophrenia spectrum), and personality disorders. In 2024, we expanded our service line to include psychotherapy services and veteran support. We are fulfilling our mission to bridge the service gap!

We also pride ourselves on being up to date on all the current tech-related trends and are nimble as new, better workflows emerge.

Pay Structure: Part of what makes Insight Carolinas different than other therapy practices, is that our therapists get to be part of our assessment process doing intake appointments to assist them in building their therapy caseload. Our therapists don't have to rely on practice therapy referrals alone. Until a threshold is met for completed therapy encounters per pay period, reimbursement will be at a per encounter rate that equals out to $70,200 annually. We can guarantee you'll have appointments to be full-time even before having a full therapy caseload. Therapy encounters are paid at a higher rate so as each intake encounter is replaced with a therapy encounter, your pay increases!
