The Position:
A Creative Designer/Rhino Modeler is a professional who creates three-dimensional models and environments for themed entertainment using Rhino. They work with physical and digital models, particularly for themed attractions, exhibits, or product development. They utilize advanced software and digital tools to create immersive experiences through solid and SubD modeling, material assignment, and the addition of depth and spatial realism to objects and scenes. Their work involves a blend of creativity and technical skill, translating abstract concepts into tangible, visually engaging, and functionally practical outputs.
Responsibilities include conceptualizing designs, creating detailed models, collaborating with engineers and artists, and overseeing production to ensure designs meet project goals:
Create high-quality 3D environments, elements, and props that achieve the creative intent and fulfil the defined deliverables.
Work with creative directors, project leads and designers to plan, layout and execute the vision.
Designers must be able to work both independently and in small groups to trouble-shoot and provide solutions to production issues related to asset creation and world building.
Ability to work in observance of the project budget and schedule, while remaining capable of adapting to shifting priorities.
Collaborate with Design Managers, Project Managers and fellow designers to maintain an efficient and successful production process.
Desired skills and expertise:
Required
+ 3D modeling experience in Rhino 7 or 8.
+ Strong 3D modeling skills.
+ Strong visual, verbal, and written communication skills. Preferred
+ Revit, Sketchup, AutoCAD, 3D Studio Max, and/or Maya experience.
+ Adobe Creative Suite (Photoshop, Illustrator, and/or InDesign).
+ 5+ years of practical experience in digital modelling and 3D/dimensional design.
+ A working understanding of core principles of themed experience design.
+ Training or employment in fields such as architecture, theater, themed entertainment, industrial design, or another relevant field. Designers fulfill project requirements such as drawings, renderings, models, narratives, sketches, and schematic
Familiarity with spatial design, custom fabrication methods, and materials.
Work collaboratively with the design team, other departments, clients, and
Ability to work well under pressure.
Must respond well to creative criticism and feedback.
Excellent communication, interpersonal and organizational skills.
Self-motivated individual with a willingness to continue to learn.
Strong portfolio showcasing recent work.
Experience working in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, and PowerPoint).

Benefits include:
Personal Time accrual of 1 hour for every 30 hours worked immediately upon hire.
Vacation Accrual: 4% of hourly compensation accumulated annually, payable quarterly or within 30 days of end of employment. Accrual begins after an initial 1000 hours worked.
Participation in ADK Studios 401K plan following 90 days of employment and then at quarterly enrollment periods.
Participation in ADK Studios Medical, Dental, and Vision plans upon 90 days of full-time employment.
Participation in ADK Studios Long-Term Disability insurance following 1 year of employment. This is at no cost to the employee.
Participation in the ADK Studios Profit Sharing Plan following 3 years of employment. Employees must work a minimum of 1000 hours per calendar year.

This full-time, hourly position will be a hybrid position allowing WFH and studio/office hours in either Pasadena or Orlando.
Depending on qualifications, this role offers a pay range of $30.00 - $50.00 per hour. Compensation rate is influenced by, background, years of experience, specific skills, location and the industry.
