Role: Test & Evaluation Engineering Support Specialist

Client: Defense-Aerospace

Hourly Rate: up to $39.50/hr (W2, non-benefited)

Length: 9-months, Temp-to-Perm

Location:

Manassas, VA

Clearance: Department of Defense Secret security clearance is required at time of hire.

Description:

Crafting comprehensive test procedures. Proficiently utilizing electrical measurement tools, such as oscilloscopes and multimeters. Conducting Verification and Validation for corrective changes. Performing installations, rip-outs, testing, and validation of tactical systems. Assisting in configuring the lab in accordance with relevant drawings and port maps. Supporting informal and formal test events, as well as other customer-driven test activities. Identifying, analyzing, and documenting software, firmware, and hardware defects and collaborating with the engineering team to troubleshoot and resolve issues. Occasional travel to submarine home ports for Field Services activities. Supporting the Logistics team in the development of installation and operation procedures.

Required & Desired Skills:

Must have experience with one of the following skills: the AN/BLQ-10, AN/BYG-1, Submarine Weapon Launchers, or AN/BQQ-10 systems. Proficiency in software testing and analysis. Proficiency with Microsoft Office Products (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook). General knowledge of network configurations, operations, and commands. Navy or Submarine experience is a valuable asset. Solid knowledge in use and understanding of test engineering concepts, principles, and theories Solid knowledge and experience with object-oriented programming, system processes and scripting languages Openly proposes ideas that enhance productivity and efficiency, solicits input, and optimizes solutions Ability to lift up to 45 pounds.

Required Education and Experience:

Requires a Bachelor's or Technology degree in Engineering or a related specialized area/field, or equivalent (4 years job-related experience)
