Summary:

The OTA Engineering team configures the antenna system with hardware from customer, executes over-the-air tests, joins conference call for status update and delivers reports in support of the antenna system integration process with costumer\'s expectation. (The tests could be in the early stages of development or in the stage of multiple-device comparative analysis)

Essential Function:

  • Create, prepare, plan, and perform over-the-air (OTA) tests according to customer requests:
  • Lead/guide the Test Technicians on site to fulfill the tests to meet customer expectations
  • Review and analyze test results for 802.11 n/ac/ax Wi-Fi devices
  • Create test reports and attend meetings with FAE/Sales with customer
  • Set up Wi-Fi network equipment. Evaluate network system performance
  • Troubleshoot device configuration issue, software installation issue and test environment setup issue
  • Perform passive and active antenna testing, such as return-loss check on antennas and/or radiation coverage check (after training)
  • Write reports in tabular and graphical formats to Airgain FAE/Sales and customer
  • Communicate and collaborate with other team members to understand accurate specifications and requirements for tests and data analysis
  • Enhance and support automation software for OTA testing (Airgain-specific as well as commercial products such as IxChariot)
  • Define or support new test processes and procedures
  • Support the data analysis and visualization software
  • Maintain test facility infrastructure and appropriate software licenses
  • *Other duties as assigned
Requirements:

Requirements/Qualifications:
  • AA degree or equivalent number of college credits in Electrical/Electronic Engineering or related field (required); BS degree is preferred.
  • 2 years of prior antenna/electrical testing experience (preferred)
  • Knowledge of antennas and RF theory, antenna/RF test equipment + shielding room/ chamber testing practices is a plus.
  • Knowledge of antenna gain and TRP/TIS is a plus
  • Knowledge of LTE/CBRS OTA and field test and setup is a plus
  • Ability to perform S-parameter measurements using VNA (Vector Network analyzer) and perform antenna pattern measurements using either far or near field techniques is a plus
  • Ability to utilize software programs designed to create testing reports.
  • Ability to work both effectively and independently as an individual contributor and as part of a team.
  • Skills in MATLAB or Python is a plus.

California:

The US base salary range for this full-time position is $86,076- $94,216 + target annual bonus.

Our salary ranges are determined by a number of factors, including but not limited to the role, location, job-related skills, relevant education, experience and training.

The range displayed on each job posting reflects the target range for new hire base salary for the position across all US locations and varies by the location of the position. Our Talent team member can share more about our salary ranges and other benefits of working at Airgain, which are not included in the posted base salary range.
