Perma-Column and Sturdi-Wall are the newest innovation in the Post-Frame building industry. The patented design combines the economy of post-frame construction with the durability of a concrete foundation.



Perma-Column East is seeking a results-driven, high-integrity Territory Sales Representative to lead and grow business within an assigned territory. This is not an order-taker role; we need a motivated, adaptable professional who can drive new customer acquisition and expand existing accounts. The ideal candidate will proactively engage the market, take full ownership of their territory, and consistently execute with urgency, professionalism, and resilience in a fast-moving environment.



This role requires someone who can set the tone, bring a growth mindset, and represent Perma-Column East as a trusted partner to customers. Candidates must be skilled in product education, territory planning, and the use of tools such as HubSpot, QuickBooks, Microsoft Office Suite (including Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook, and Teams), and Concur.



Clear activity expectations will be in place, including call volumes, in-person visits, and pipeline management metrics. To ensure a successful transition into the role, new hires will be provided with a structured training plan, ongoing support, and defined performance milestones during their onboarding period.


The assigned sales territory for this opportunity covers Central New York through New England. Travel within this region is required to maintain a strong market presence and foster customer relationships.

Essential Functions



Adhere to activity expectations, including outreach targets, in-person visits, and CRM usage, within a performance-driven sales culture Participate in a structured training plan to build product knowledge, sales process fluency, and territory strategy Manage and grow overall sales in the assigned territory; consistently meet or exceed sales targets Develop new customers while strengthening and expanding relationships with existing accounts Conduct in-person customer visits to build trust, deliver product education, and reinforce company value Generate quotes, enter customer orders accurately, and provide timely follow-up on all customer needs Partner with the General Manager to define and execute the annual sales budget and growth strategy Deliver training and support for all Perma-Column East product lines Use HubSpot to manage leads, log activity, and maintain pipeline visibility and accountability Submit accurate weekly expense reports using Concur Provide monthly sales reports and participate in regular team meetings and one-on-ones (virtual or in-person) Respond to customer inquiries and communications in a timely, professional, and solutions-focused manner Adapt quickly to changes in strategy, tools, or territory requirements with a positive, team-first mindset Other duties as assigned


Required Education and Experience




High school diploma and 10-15 years of proven sales, channel sales, and forecasting experience;

or

Associate's degree in a related field and 5-10 years of proven sales, channel sales, and forecasting experience;

or

Bachelor's degree in a related field and 5 years of proven sales, channel sales, and forecasting experience Experience in building materials or construction, with knowledge of lumberyard, building materials, and post-frame builder channels; a plus Both stocking and non-stocking, including understanding customer buying behaviors, needs, and sales cycles; a plus Experience selling a premium product; a plus Experience selling to various roles: sales, procurement, store personnel, distribution staff, and counter employees; a plus Experience selling to Amish and Mennonite communities; a plus Experience in meeting and exceeding goals during inclement weather seasons Tech-savvy with 2-3+ years of experience using HubSpot, QuickBooks, Microsoft Office Suite, and Concur Strong competitive drive with demonstrated coachability, professionalism, adaptability, and time management Excellent communication, interpersonal, and organizational skills
