As a

Territory Sales Manager

, you are the primary relationship and sales connection between Kemper and our clientele within a defined territory. You will work closely with businesses and their personnel to provide solutions across

Aftermarket Products, Equipment, Systems, and Projects

. Success in this role requires building and maintaining strong customer relationships, listening closely to customer needs, and responding with urgency and insight.

You'll be responsible for the

performance and development of your territory

--expanding business with existing customers while identifying and cultivating new accounts. Knowledge of the industry, an understanding of your customers' processes, and familiarity with available products and services are all essential. Regular communication, both electronically and through on-site visits, is key to maintaining and growing those relationships.

The "Manager" title reflects the

ownership and accountability

you'll have for setting goals, driving results, and developing a growth plan aligned with Kemper's values and overall business objectives. You'll work collaboratively with the Sales Manager and Sales Director to execute strategies that deliver measurable success.

As a

Territory Sales Manager

, you'll combine mechanical know-how, entrepreneurial drive, and customer focus to grow your territory, solve complex operational challenges, and deliver real results for our clients.

Key Responsibilities



Own and grow your assigned territory as if it were your own business. Contact regular and prospective customers to demonstrate products, explain features, and develop inquiries that lead to sales. Recommend equipment and solutions based on each customer's needs and interests. Lead the full sales cycle: prospecting, quoting, negotiating, and closing deals. Act as the customer's trusted advisor, ensuring needs are understood and addressed internally. Consult with clients after sales or contract signings to resolve issues and provide ongoing support. Educate customer personnel--alongside Kemper's Service Group--on operating and maintaining new equipment. Identify and pursue new opportunities through directories, referrals, trade shows, and industry organizations. Monitor market conditions, product innovations, and competitor activity to stay ahead of trends. Collaborate with technical, operations, and service teams to deliver seamless, results-driven solutions. Report specific customer needs to the appropriate Kemper teams for tailored recommendations and offerings. Perform administrative duties including preparing sales budgets, reports, and expense submissions. Obtain credit information on new customers and assist in developing sales quotes, contracts, and order forms. Bring fresh ideas to sales strategies, marketing efforts, and customer engagement initiatives.

Mechanically minded with hands-on experience in quarry equipment, heavy machinery, or plant operations. A natural problem solver who thrives on complexity and challenge. Preferred Extras



Experience in quarry, construction, or heavy equipment industries. Sales experience is helpful but not required--you're eager and willing to learn. Comfortable using CRM tools, reviewing sales analytics, and traveling to customer sites.

Requirements



Must hold a

valid driver's license

and be comfortable traveling extensively--approximately

30,000 miles per year

--in varying weather and road conditions. Ability to

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $45,000.00 - $65,000.00 per year
