ABOUT THE ROLE
After in-depth training on the safety products and supplies that we provide to our customers, you will be equipped to answer questions and offer additional solutions. Outbound calling is necessary, but with a consultative, no-pressure approach to relationship building and promoting solutions.
We offer a competitive base salary and performance bonuses based on sales.
LOCATION
We work on-site at 5720 W Minnesota Street, Indianapolis, 8:00 AM to 5:00 PM, Monday through Friday. As a territory manager, you will have the ability to work outside of the office, visiting customers and doing some overnight travel.
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS INCLUDE THE FOLLOWING:
Properly identify and engage potential customers interested in safety products and qualify business opportunities.
Conduct market research to identify target industries and companies.
Use various channels for lead generation.
Develop and maintain customer relationships in a way that assures customers' expectations are consistently satisfied and allows the company to gain competitive advantage.
Monitor and analyze sales performance for continuous improvement; use Salesforce and Power BI tools to track sales activities and results.
Understand the safety requirements and challenges of potential clients; conduct meetings to gather information on safety concerns and perform on-site assessments when applicable.
Collaborate with manufacturer technical experts to analyze client needs effectively.
Successfully negotiate and implement pricing to maximize growth and profitability.
Understand client budget constraints and align proposals accordingly to close sales.
Deliver effective presentations to the customer that showcase the benefits of working with Quest Safety products, address client questions and concerns during the presentation.
MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS
Bachelor's degree required; however, equivalent experience may be considered
2+ years of business-to-business product sales experience
Ability to travel overnight 20-30% within the region
Communication and presentation skills
Availability for day travel throughout the city and surrounding area
Analytical and skilled in problem-solving techniques
Demonstrated negotiation skills
Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, especially PowerPoint and Excel
Current and valid driver's license and an acceptable driving record
Maintain an assertive, confident, and persistent approach to selling
