This is a Field position located in Sioux Falls, South Dakota.

Your Responsibilities

As a Territory Business Manager for John Deere Ag &Turf Sales/Marketing located in Sioux Falls, South Dakota, you will be accountable for the total revenue of your assigned territory, delivering annual plans, performance metrics and goals for dealer accounts on territory C3. In addition, you will:

  • Be accountable for sales and market share, this includes developing a defined plan of specialized resources required to accomplish and sustain targeted goals
  • Work with and include relevant specialists/counterparts to help prepare, plan and execute on business plans
  • Be responsible for timely corrective actions ensuring goals are achieved and manage the contractual relationship with channel partners
  • Lead execution of channel partner development activities and corrective actions when channel partner results do not meet expectations
  • Gather and establish analysis on dealer financial, market, and operational performance; makes recommendations and develops business case to address improvement areas
  • Assist dealers with financial statement analysis and the development of financial plans
  • Lead dealer corporate level sales, inventory, and unit budget planning and stakeholder alignment

What Skills You Need
  • 3 or more years of knowledge of dealer channel, products, parts, service and finance programs
  • 3 or more years of broad-based business, sales and marketing skills
  • 3 or more years of demonstrated ability to influence without authority
  • 5 or more years of effective communication and interpersonal skills
  • 3 or more years of demonstrated ability to interact with diverse stakeholder groups including dealers and customers
  • Ability to travel up to 75% domestically, based on business needs
What Makes You Stand Out
  • Negotiation, business case development and selling skills experience
  • Product expertise (e.g. Precision Ag, Combines, Small Ag, Tractors, Planters, Sprayers, Turf, Parts, Finance programs, etc.) on a John Deere product or service
  • Basic understanding of one or more Production Systems (e.g. Large Grains, Small Grains, Livestock/Dairy, etc.)
  • MBA degree
Education

Ideally you will have a degree or equivalent related work experience in the following:
  • Bachelor\'s degree in Business, Engineering, Agricultural Science, Marketing, or equivalent experiences
