Job Information
Job Summary:
The University of Chicago Law School is seeking a part-time, temporary, non-benefits eligible Student Affairs Administrator to support the administrative processes of the Dean of Students Office. The position reports to the Dean of Students and collaborates with staff within the Dean of Students Office to serve students, faculty, and graduates at the highest level possible. The position is expected to work up to 20 hours a week.
Responsibilities:Reserves rooms and arranges catering for DOS needs. Monitors the DOS email inbox. Assists at in-person events, including receiving and guarding food and beverages. Sorts and distributes physical mail, including packages. Updates Law School Student Organization (LSSO) financial spreadsheets. Distributes parking passes. Provides general front desk support and coverage as needed. Performs other duties as required.

Competencies:Strong organizational skills, attention to detail, and ability to follow directions and meet deadlines. Exceptional verbal and written communication skills. Deep commitment to customer service, strong interpersonal skills, and the ability to engage with diverse populations. Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite. Ability to handle confidential information with discretion.

Additional Responsibilities
Education, Experience, or Certifications:
Education:High school diploma or GED required. Bachelor's degree preferred.

Experience:Experience in higher education and/or legal settings preferred. Understanding of student services preferred.

Working Conditions and Physical Requirements:This position is expected to work in person from roughly 11-5:30pm on Tuesdays through Thursdays.
