The Accounting Specialist III supports the financial operations of the organization, focusing on accounts receivable, accounts payable, and general accounting functions. This role assists in recording financial transactions, managing invoicing and payments, and performing various reconciliations.
Essential Job Functions
Record transactions accurately in accordance with internal accounting policies
Prepare bank deposit slips and enter into accounting system
Assist with bank reconciliations
Create and distribute invoices to customers; record and post payments received Review purchase orders, statements, and invoices Process payments for debts owed by the organization
Assist with weekly check processing
Handle credit card transactions and communications
Support accounts payable tasks
Other duties as assigned
Required Qualifications
High school diploma, GED or equivalent experience
4+ years of Accounts Payable/Receivable experience
Proficiency in Microsoft Office suite
Attention to detail and ability to manage multiple tasks
Good communication and problem-solving skills
Preferred Qualifications
Associate's degree in Business Administration, Accounting, or related field
Experience with accounting software
Familiarity with reconciliation procedures
Work Environment
This position is based in a professional office setting and is primarily sedentary in nature, with some light filing duties involved. The role requires the use of standard office equipment, including computers, phones, and photocopiers. Depending on the organization's needs, the position may be offered as either part-time or full-time. Typically, no travel is required for this role, allowing for a consistent work location within the office environment
