POSITION SUMMARY: Five Below is looking for a Temporary Part-time Copywriter to help support the Copy Team under Brand Marketing. This person is a creative writer, thinker, and editor. They should also feel inspired by Five Below\xe2\x80\x99s unique tween and teen-oriented brand voice. (We\xe2\x80\x99re all about letting go and having fun!) The Temporary Part-time Copywriter will support in-store and fivebelow.com creative assets. Job Responsibilities:

• Work and collaborate with Five Below\xe2\x80\x99s Creative Team (copy, design, video), to write copy that translates marketing strategies into creative communication for our tween and teen customer base. (Millennial Moms, too!)
• Provide copy for advertising and brand initiatives including email/digital, social media, e-commerce web banners, corporate communication, philanthropic efforts, store signage, and more.
• Follow copy guides while adapting to the brand voice. (Be ready to \xe2\x80\x9chit the ground running!\xe2\x80\x9d)
• Review projects for clarity and accuracy.
• Work effectively with the copy, design, and video staff to maximize visual impact of copy concepts.
• Collaborate with Brand Marketing and other departments to maintain brand standards and ensure information accuracy.
• Manage time efficiently to meet all project deadlines.
• Stay current on retail, marketing, and social media trends.
• Maintain strict adherence to production procedures, workflow, and schedules.

Qualifications:

• Minimum 2+ years of experience writing in retail or agency setting.
• Bachelor\xe2\x80\x99s Degree required in English, Journalism, Communications, Advertising, Fashion, or comparable degree with a strong writing focus.
• Portfolio and/or writing samples of past work.
• Strong writing and proofreading skills.
• Ability to prioritize and manage multiple tasks at one time.
• Be an inventive creative writer with the ability to motivate people and sell ideas.
• Adapt to our unique brand voice quickly and be in touch with the tween/teen customer lingo to capture the right attitude. (This is a must!)

• Have a cool, calm, and composed demeanor in a high-energy, fast-paced retail environment.
• Experience working off-site remotely and managing time efficiently.

• Microsoft Office proficiency required.
• Ability to perform a brief writing test post-interview.
