Job Description

Established Lake Oswego Custom Home and Remodeling Contractor looking for a new full-time building designer for a fun team that does design/build for custom homes, remodels, and boathouses.

Prerequisites:

-5 Years of AutoCAD and RevIT experience

-Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, especially Outlook and Excel

-Self-starter with excellent organizational skills and the ability to prioritize and multi-task in fast paced work environment.

-5 Years minimum experience with Drafting/Design; Residential Remodel experience a plus.

-Must be able to understand and read construction documents as well as have a good working knowledge of construction document preparation.

-Knowledge of good drafting fundamentals is required.

-A valid driver's license and your own transportation are required to work at this company.

- Candidates will be asked to provide examples of drafting work or design.

Job duties include:

Preparing Schematic Diagrams, Finish Schedules, Plans, Elevations, Structural Maps, and assorted technical drawings using AutoCAD and RevIT Coordinate with engineers, architects, and specialist subcontractors during projects. Communicate with clients and subcontractors to ensure expectations are managed and met. Keep up to date with Building Codes and Practices Research City/County planning and permitting. Prepare planning department submittals. Material selection and specifications Design development of lighting, hardware, and exterior finishes
Please note this is an in-office position only. No remote work offered. This is a temporary full-time position and pay is dependent on experience. This is a nonsmoking/drug free company that requires both a drug test and DMV check. A good driving record is required by our insurance company.

Pay: $30.00 - $38.00 per hour
