POSITION OVERVIEW
Immediately hiring a Temporary Accounting Assistant to join our finance team. The Temporary Accounting Assistant will support the accounting department in various tasks, gaining hands-on experience in financial reporting, data analysis, and general accounting procedures.

PRIMARY RESPONSIBILITIES
  • Help with the preparation of monthly invoices by researching, organizing, and providing supporting documentation in accordance with the Federal, County, and City's requirements
  • Assist in financial and operational audits by ensuring all required documentation is organized and available.
  • Prepare spreadsheets as needed to support vendor-to-cost center distributions and internal allocations (such as Verizon/phone bills, etc.. )
  • Help maintain and organize financial files, ensuring they are accurate and up to date.
  • Collaborate with team members on special projects and process improvements.
  • Learn to be familiar with the General Ledger Expense Reports
  • Learn to be familiar with employees check request forms
  • Communicate with program managers, directors, and facility managers for any missing documents to be attached with the billing invoices
  • Print out Payroll Check Register reports and timecards reports in Paycom to be filed with the billing invoices
  • Familiar with Box
  • Perform other duties as assigned by supervisor

Qualifications
YOU HAVE (QUALIFICATIONS) Required:
  • Pursuing or recently completed a degree in Accounting, Finance, Business, or a related field.
Skills, Abilities, and Knowledge:
  • Strong attention to detail and ability to work with numerical data. Excellent organizational and time management skills.
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills.
  • Ability to work independently as well as part of a team.
  • Eagerness to learn and take initiative in a fast-paced environment.
Other:
  • Able to perform sedentary work
  • Ability to use keyboard and read computer screens for extended periods
