Physical Location: Belton, Texas

Reports To: Branch Manager, Group Sales Manager, or Market President

Working Conditions: Normal, no adverse or hazardous conditions

Work Hours: Varies by location

Primary Purpose:

Provides basic cash receipt and payment services in accordance with Cadence Bank procedures. Assist customers with account questions.

Principal Duties and Responsibilities:

\xe2\x97\x8f Responsible for prompt and efficient customer transactions.

\xe2\x97\x8f Receives checks and cash for deposits to accounts, verifies amounts, examines checks for proper endorsement and enters deposits into computer system.

\xe2\x97\x8f Cashes checks and processes withdrawals; pays out money after verification of signatures and customers balances.

\xe2\x97\x8f Promotes and explains other BancorpSouth products such as consumer and mortgage loans, IRAs, certificate of deposits, travelers checks and credit cards.

\xe2\x97\x8f Counts, checks and packages coins and currency.

\xe2\x97\x8f Balances cash drawer at the end of the shift and compares totaled amounts to computer-generated sheet and reports any discrepancies to the Head Teller as necessary.

\xe2\x97\x8f Reports malfunctions of teller terminal and other equipment used at the teller station.

\xe2\x97\x8f Responsible for checking night depository bags and recording proper information on BancorpSouth\'s forms.

\xe2\x97\x8f Assist customers with routine inquires regarding account balances and account information.

\xe2\x97\x8f Ensures that the teller stations are properly stocked with forms, supplies, etc.

\xe2\x97\x8f Perform additional duties as required.

Job Specifications:

\xe2\x97\x8f High school diploma or equivalent.

\xe2\x97\x8f Successful completion of Teller Training course.

\xe2\x97\x8f Close attention to detail and good organizational and analytical skills.

\xe2\x97\x8f Good understanding of BancorpSouth\'s products and services.

\xe2\x97\x8f Good interpersonal communication and computer skills.

\xe2\x97\x8f Ability to operate standard office equipment such as computer, adding machine and typewriter.

\xe2\x97\x8f Ability to lift up to twenty-five (25) pounds.
