Telephone Operator - Westchester -
Communication is essential to the delivery of quality patient care. No matter what your role, everyone is a caregiver at NewYork-Presbyterian Queens. Our Telephone Operators quickly relay information while getting every detail right, while providing our patients and their families with exceptional service. Now you have the opportunity to impact the bigger picture by helping make connections and ensure our patients and their families continue to rely on us for amazing care.
The Telephone Operater ultilizes the telecom system, console, paging system and private band radio to answers and directs all incoming calls to appropriate source, including communications hospital staff, psychiatrists, psychologists, and social workers. They utilize the paging system to alert hospital staff and personnel when they are needed. They are the comforting voice for family members wishing to connect with loved ones and ensure the consistent delivery of excellent customer service.
We are looking for a candidate available to work Fridays and Saturdays 4:00pm-12:00am. Preferred Qualifications

• Bilingual strongly preferred

Required Qualifications

• Ability to operate a telecom system
• High school diploma or GED
• Superior communication and customer service skills
