Job Description
The Monitor Technician/Unit Secretary monitor electrocardiograms of monitored patients; noting and documenting rate and rhythm and notifying RN immediately of changes to ensure appropriate follow-up and/or intervention. Provides secretarial support in the functional areas of correspondence, data retrieval and compilation, record keeping, communications, confidentiality, and coordinating services for the nursing staff, and maintaining patient's medical records. Assists with the care of patient under the direction and supervision of a Registered Nurse.
