Willow Behavioral Health is a growing outpatient behavioral health program in Madison, Wisconsin, offering Partial Hospitalization (PHP) and Intensive Outpatient (IOP) services for individuals navigating mental health and substance use challenges. Position Summary
The Licensed Counselor/Therapist provides high-quality telehealth clinical services to individuals enrolled in the program's Partial Hospitalization (PHP) and Intensive Outpatient (IOP) levels of care. The clinician delivers evidence-based counseling, facilitates group and individual sessions, develops individualized treatment plans, and documents clinical progress in accordance with federal, state, and payer regulations.
This position is open to licensed professionals nationally who are authorized to provide telehealth behavioral health services in their state(s) of licensure.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities
Conduct telehealth individual and group therapy sessions for clients in PHP/IOP levels of care with MH and/or SUD diagnoses.
Develop, implement, and review individualized treatment plans based on ASAM and DSM-5 criteria.
Maintain clinical documentation in the EHR (e.g., KIPU, SimplePractice, etc.) within established timelines.
Provide psychoeducation, relapse prevention, and skills-based interventions (e.g., CBT, DBT, MI).
Collaborate with the interdisciplinary team including psychiatrists, medical providers, case managers, and peer support specialists.
Monitor client progress and adjust treatment interventions as clinically indicated.
Ensure compliance with federal and state telehealth regulations, HIPAA, 42 CFR Part 2, and payer requirements.
Uphold professional ethics consistent with NAADAC, NBCC, and NASW standards.
Qualifications
Master's degree in Counseling, Social Work, Psychology, or a related behavioral health field.
Must be credentialed in Wisconsin
Active, unrestricted license or national certification to provide behavioral health or substance use disorder counseling, such as:
Demonstrated familiarity with ASAM criteria, DSM-5, and trauma-informed care.
Proficiency with telehealth platforms, EHR documentation, and virtual group facilitation.
Experience in PHP, IOP, or residential SUD treatment strongly preferred.
Knowledge of Medication-Assisted Treatment (MAT) and integrated care models a plus.
Strong organizational and communication skills, with the ability to engage clients effectively in a virtual environment.
Licensure in multiple states and/or bilingual proficiency (English/Spanish) preferred.
