Willow Behavioral Health is a growing outpatient behavioral health program based in Madison, Wisconsin, offering Partial Hospitalization (PHP) and Intensive Outpatient (IOP) services for individuals navigating mental health and substance use challenges. Position Summary
The Telehealth Group Facilitator provides virtual group facilitation and clinical support for clients enrolled in the program's PHP and IOP levels of care. This position serves as a key therapeutic presence in the virtual environment--leading structured group sessions, promoting engagement and connection among participants, and ensuring clinical excellence in every session.
This role is open to licensed or nationally certified behavioral health professionals who are accredited to provide telehealth services and licensed in the state of Wisconsin. Candidates may also hold additional licensure in other states to facilitate groups across multiple jurisdictions.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities
Facilitate engaging and clinically structured telehealth group sessions for PHP and IOP clients with mental health and/or substance use disorder (SUD) diagnoses.
Deliver evidence-based group content aligned with CBT, DBT, MI, and trauma-informed care principles.
Promote therapeutic engagement, healthy group dynamics, and peer support in the virtual setting.
Accurately document all group sessions, attendance, and client participation in the Electronic Health Record (EHR) (e.g., KIPU, SimplePractice) in compliance with program timelines.
Collaborate with the clinical and medical team, including therapists, psychiatrists, and case managers, to ensure cohesive care coordination.
Observe and report any clinical, behavioral, or safety concerns to the treatment team promptly.
Support the creation and maintenance of a safe, confidential, and recovery-focused telehealth environment.
Maintain up-to-date knowledge of telehealth best practices, HIPAA and 42 CFR Part 2 confidentiality regulations, and state-specific telehealth laws.
Participate in clinical meetings, supervision, and ongoing professional development to ensure quality of care and compliance with accreditation standards.
Qualifications
Master's degree in Counseling, Social Work, Psychology, or a related behavioral health field (or equivalent national certification).
Active, unrestricted license in the state of Wisconsin (required).
Additional active licensure or national certification permitting telehealth group facilitation preferred, such as:
Demonstrated familiarity with ASAM criteria, DSM-5, and trauma-informed care.
Proficiency with telehealth platforms, EHR documentation, and virtual group facilitation.
Experience in PHP, IOP, or residential SUD treatment strongly preferred.
