Duties

Perform climbing and bucket operation tasks to access telecommunications towers safely using bucket trucks or rigging equipment Install, troubleshoot, and repair telecommunication equipment including antennas, radios, fiber optic cables, and low/high voltage systems Conduct fiber splicing to ensure seamless data transmission across network components Manage cabling processes for both power (high voltage/low voltage) and data connections with precision and safety compliance Execute tower inspections, routine maintenance, and emergency repairs to uphold network integrity Operate specialized equipment such as bucket trucks and cranes for lifting heavy components during installation or repairs Follow safety protocols rigorously while working at heights or with electrical systems to prevent accidents Document all work performed accurately in maintenance logs and reports for compliance purposes Collaborate with team members on rigging setups and ensure all tools and materials are properly handled during field service operations Assist in upgrading existing infrastructure to support new technologies like 5G and enhance network performance

Qualifications

Proven experience working in telecommunications or field service environments with a focus on tower climbing or elevated structures Strong knowledge of telecommunication systems including 3G, 4G/LTE, 5G networks, fiber splicing, cabling, and wiring techniques Ability to operate bucket trucks, cranes, rigging gear, and other heavy equipment safely and efficiently Familiarity with high voltage electrical systems as well as low voltage data cabling standards Skilled in welding, rigging operations, and tower climbing with proper certification where applicable Excellent problem-solving skills to troubleshoot network issues quickly on-site Physical fitness to handle climbing tall structures repeatedly while maintaining safety standards Relevant certifications required Valid driver's license with a clean driving record; CDL certification is a plus but not mandatory Strong commitment to safety procedures and OSHA regulations during all field activities

Job Type: Contract

Pay: $22.00 - $27.00 per hour
